If you have concerns about your eating and feel that it is out of your control, I can help you. ‘Disorganised eating’ can take many forms and falls into three categories.
Those that don’t eat enough, out of anxiety about eating too much and getting fat. The second are those that eat too much and then take action to undo the effects by vomiting, purging or starving. Thirdly, those that once they start to eat can’t stop and don’t succeed in undoing the effects and become overweight or get very fat.
You may not fall into a specific category but feel that your eating is strange and causes you concerns yet doesn’t fall into any of the categories mentioned, but if the way you use food bothers you then I can help.
This type of therapy does not tell you what to eat or how much. We think you already know that. Together we will explore the reasons for this behaviour and you will learn strategies and techniques to manage your emotions in ways that best serve you and help you control your weight.
